Children are unique and individual, why dress them all the same? Having worked with children for 20years and had my own, I believe most young children are drawn to primary colours and love animals. So, for many years I have been making a bright, fun range of dresses and trousers for babies and children, often featuring animals. In the winter they are reversible: the brighter side is teamed with a warmer, plainer fabric and matching pockets, in the summer they are made in a lighter-weight fabric, single layer or 2 light weight fabrics which are reversible. They are well made from quality fabrics and will last well, holding their shape.
I really enjoy the opportunity to create Christening/Baptism clothing. Working with your wishes or my traditional styles and fabrics (I love making them in silk), I aim to produce an heirloom outfit to be used for many generations.
When I have time I love to create artisan bears, working mostly in mohair. I spend a long while creating an appealing face matched to their body and fur. These I hope will be passed down generations (but they are not toys) and become heirlooms.
