Hand-painted greeting card designs, in a colourful, whimsical style!

Hello! I'm Nellie, an artist from the West Midlands. I am inspired by nature, especially the changing seasons of the land, and my love of folklore often makes its way into my art too.

I have always enjoyed being creative, through a variety of different mediums. I am a published poet, and as well as my painted designs, I am always experimenting with different crafts. These have included making paint pigment from flower petals, 'braskotten' firelighters from pine cones, and 'hapa zome' textiles with collected leaves!

My Folksy shop is my place to sell my artwork and crafts - whatever I've been experimenting with that season! You can read more about my practices, including my poetry, over on my blog, www.nelliecole.com.

Buying from me

Here at Handmade by Nellie, I sell prints of hand-painted designs, as well as a variety of hand-crafted pieces. These range from greetings cards and prints, to ornaments and jewellery. Inspired by nature, my crafts change throughout the year to reflect the shifting seasons.

Returns Policy

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.
