We make tea towels in Yorkshire

Half a Donkey Ltd is a British Company, printing in-house a wide range of tea towels, Run by husband and wife team, Lisa and Graham. Working with key British brands, we produce a striking range of traditional goods all made by us in the UK. We take commissions and work with designers and retailers on producing custom products.

Why call ourselves Half a Donkey? A few years ago, Lisa's Auntie Alma and Auntie Anne retold the story that their brother Duncan (Lisa’s Dad) and a mate bought a Donkey. This was in rural West Wales in the 1930’s.They rented it out for removals and made some pocket money. Hence the phrase “did you know your Dad owned Half a Donkey?”. Lisa loved the name so much, she decided to turn it into a brand in tribute to her Dad.
