I like to make things that I myself have designed

Ever since I was a child I've wanted things to be more how I want them to be, rather than what is normally available. Yes, frustration can become annoying baggage. Until you meet people that can make things themselves and discover that you yourself can also
make things. The desire to make, always goes hand in hand with the desire to design. I never will be a great designer/maker but I will always enjoy the experience as many thousands of us do, it's a sort of happy compulsion. Meeting and talking to other makers never fails to broaden my understanding and appreciation of creativity. I've always liked to work with steel and my workshop is more geared to this than other materials, though I'm more of a blacksmith than an engineer. On the whole people seem to have liked what I've made so I thought I would see if I could sell some items more widely, see if people see what I see when it comes to design and hand making. Over the years the most valuable lesson I've learned is that, for people like me, criticism is the best free gift that anyone can ever give me. Other people often spot something that I, in my enthusiasm, didn't consider. So please feel free to voice your opinion, it's always welcome. If you feel inclined to show your appreciation by buying something it would be very welcome indeed.
