I may make something similar but never the same.

For many years painting had been my hobby but in 2000 I needed a change so did a C&G Patchwork and Quilting course. I had never been much of a sewer before but this opened up a whole new world to me - painting with fabric.

Any shop that sells fabric/haberdashery is a magnet. I love all the wonderful colours, just like a paint box. I sew for pleasure: the fun of using new materials and seeing how things look when finished. Searching through a stash of fabric and seeing which work together is my idea of heaven. Choosing ribbons, buttons, zips - it's all part of the fun I get. I like working with natural materials so most items are made with linen or cotton.

I can't keep everything I make, there isn't enough room, also my stash of fabrics needs replenishing so I am trying out Folksy to see what Folksy folk like to buy.

Everything is unique, handmade and special. It's made wih care and love for someone to enjoy using as much as I enjoyed making.

Buying from me

I sew for pleasure: the fun of using new materials and seeing how things look when finished. Searching through a stash of fabric and seeing which work together is my idea of heaven. And, when an item is finished it goes in the box. Now the box is full and my stash is dwindling. Last time this happened I gave or sold them all to family and friends. Now I want to spread the joy and let Folksy people have some so I can replenish my fabric stash once again.

I did a C&G Patchwork and Quilting course which started me along this road. Quilts, table runners, bags, cushions - they are all in the box and will come into my shop once I know Folksy people like them as much as I do. Once the box has some space I can start again picking up fabrics and embelishments as i travel around Kent and beyond.

Everything is unique, handmade and special. It's made wih care and love for someone to enjoy using as much as I enjoyed making.
