I am a glass artist specialising in fused glass art.
Working from my home in the picturesque village of Cartmel in the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria, I take my inspiration from the hills and lakes in this beautiful county as well as the everyday things that surround me and the things that make me smile.
I make all sorts of things ranging from plates and bowls to quirky pictures and clocks and earrings and pendants.
All my pieces are original, decorative and practical works of art, designed to appeal to the senses.
I've always been artistic and creative and over 20 years ago whilst at a country show I was fascinated to see a glass artist working with stained glass to make a candle holder and decided that this was something that I wanted to try. So I enrolled on a course and started making stained glass windows and panels which then progressed to making things from fused glass. In 2009 I was made redundant and decided that I would turn what up until then had been a hobby into a business and try to make a living out of my love of fused glass and so with my redundancy pay-out I invested in a kiln.
