Funky Olive Handmade is home to a collection of handmade and bespoke Lampshades that come in all shapes, sizes & fabrics.

I guess this is the part where I can shamelessly tell you how wonderful and fabulous Funky Olive Handmade is and a little bit about how it started...

The original Funky Olive was founded by me, designer/maker Sophie Handa back in 2004. It was born from my love for colour, shape, texture, movement and beautiful accessories. I was bored of seeing the same jewellery everywhere and wanted to design and make something a little different to what was available on the high street and so the company was created.

The business has evolved over time and after re-training a few years back I now predominantly design & hand make fabulous and quirky lampshades from my home in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. They come in all shapes, sizes and fabrics and enable me to indulge in my passion for textiles and interiors! I also offer a bespoke service, working closely with my clients from sourcing fabrics from around the world, or matching in with existing colour schemes to now teaching workshops from my home or yours!

Welcome to Funky Olive Handmade! Based in the heart of the Hampshire countryside, I hand make lampshades using a range of beautiful fabrics. If you can't see what you want, please get in touch and I would be happy to make something special for you!

Returns Policy

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.

Lampshades by their very nature are difficult to send out, they are delicate and need a lot of care and attention to ensure their safe delivery. I understand that sometimes items just aren't quite right and need to be returned but please ensure that you take the same time and effort I took to ensure a safe delivery when returning items. Please use the same packaging that I used. The shade itself needs to be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap, several times, it then needs to be carefully placed in the original double walled box, with a layer of card around it, then all the gaps carefully filled with more bubble wrap. Basically when you close the box and shake it, the shade should not move. I cannot accept a return and issue a refund to you if the item is poorly packaged and gets damaged in transit.
