Original hand painted art encaustic wax pictures (NOT PRINTS) handmade cards and gifts

Hello and thank you for visiting my shop. I am Kirsty a mum of four grown-up children and a granny to a 1 year old. Originally trained as a florist I have always had an interest in art and crafts and as you can see from my wax art pictures I still have a love of flowers. I create handmade art, cards and gifts focusing on framed encaustic wax art pictures. I create these pictures by melting wax with a specialist iron and stylus, and applying to specially coated encaustic paper that allows the wax to melt together, creating beautiful patterns and colour mixes. Ever piece is one of a kind, as even if I use the same colours and try to do the same design it is impossible to recreate exactly as the wax melts differently every time. This is why I find hot wax so interesting and exciting to work with.
