Bright and colourful watercolours inspired by nature

Hello and welcome to my Folksy shop, I'm Emma, artist and illustrator. This is where you can find my collection of Artwork.

Founded in 2015 when I was on leave from my day job, I decided to use this time to revisit my love of art, picked up a pencil and began to draw - and I haven't stopped since.

Drawing has always been one of my favourite things to do, for as long as I can remember. Originally from Manchester, I moved to Leeds to complete a BA(Hons) degree in mixed media design and then an MA in graphic design. After university, life took over and I persued a career in education at a local nursery school, got married and bought our first home. It wasn't until 7 years later that I returned to my artwork.

I now live in West Yorkshire, work part time in my day job and spend the rest of my time working on my artwork . I am always thinking of and looking for new ideas.

I share my home with my hubby, our 3 cats and rescue dog. When I'm not drawing or working I love nothing more than exploring the Yorkshire countryside with longs walks with our dog.

I love to experiment with different mediums and techniques but my favourite has to be watercolours and a simple black fine liner.

My style has changed quite a bit from the early days - from Geometric, black and white line drawings to mixed media illustrations and more recently layered papercuts.

My work is available as signed Art prints, original artwork and framed papercuts. I also have a few of my designs on accessories and home decor items that are available in selected independent stores in Manchester, Wolverhampton and Yorkshire.

All of my papercuts are Handcut and original and I never repeat the same design which makes them perfect as that extra special, unique gift or as a focal point in the home.
