Making Highland Hugs for the whole world!!

Please excuse the picture ... this is me having an absolute blast getting to grafitti a Daisy on the wall at DefenderJam, a Highland show for Defenders & their enthusiasts which was set in the most stunning scenary of rural Scotland! ... As you can see I LOVED being able to do this :)

I manage this around the day-job, it simply was a blend of hobby-crafting which became a little out of hand and a practical need to beat the Highland Winter Chill.

Living at the foothills of The Highlands the views I see on my daily dog walk are so stunning ... but it can be known to be a tad chilly!!

When I first moved here I had a beautiful Dogue-de-Bordeaux who loved to amble around the lochs & hills'n'glens, and I was was more than happy to indulge her; but where I don't think she registered the cold a jot I was frozen to the bone!!

So my fusing kiln and then vintage sewing machine got to work and started creating practical, beautiful and most importantly snuggle warm wraps & scarfs ... they are just like having a Highland Hug to keep you warm on the coldest of days.

After a few commented and requests I though why no share, so I started Daisy Loves These; these Making Highland Hugs for the whole world!!

Where did the name come from ... well that was inspired by one of the first pieces I made when starting out with my glass kiln ... a daisy ... I was so proud of it I named the whole venture after it. :)
