“Hand-poured soy wax candles with essential oils.”

Shop Announcement:

I have closed my Folksy shop for the next few weeks due to the current situation - it is hard for me to keep on top of my stock control across this and my own on-line shop as I am limited in being able to make more candles at the moment. I look forward to reopening on here soon, and in the meantime wish you well and thank you so much for your support.

I can add a brown Kraft gift tag with a hand-written message of your choice. Please just let me know if you would like this service and the recipient's full name and address. There is no extra charge, just my way of making your gift buying a little easier.

P.S. If you are local and would like to collect, I will give you a postage refund on collection, there is currently no collection option on the Folksy site. Just let me know if you'd like to do this.

This shop is currently empty. Please check back when we've restocked.

About cucumber wood candles

cucumber wood candles

Soywax candles with essential oils - lovingly made by hand, each one is unique!

Welcome to Cucumber Wood Candles!

I make all my candles by hand from my workshop in Berkshire. Working in small batches I use the best ingredients - simply natural soy wax and essential oils, giving a fantastic scent. Cucumber Wood is a pretty, local woodland - I discovered it on a vintage map of Caversham and now its one of my favourite places. I love creating new and seasonal blends and sourcing perfect containers so your candles look as gorgeous as they smell.

Caring for the environment is important to me. My candle tins are recyclable and the glass containers can be reused as tea light holders. Cucumber Wood vintage candle containers can regain their original purpose as sundae dishes, egg cups, glasses and tea cups. I reuse packaging wherever possible, and there isn't a carrier bag in sight - I use hand-stamped paper bags and offer calico bags for gift purchases.

I hope you love my candles as much as I enjoy making them. Take a look at my Instagram page (@cucumberwoodcandles) for more pictures!

Always burn candles within sight, keep them away from drafts and vibrations, keep out of reach of children and pets and never burn near anything that can catch fire. Trim wick to 5mm before lighting, keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings, only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface and don't burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
