Make it, but make it Responsible

To us "Crafted" means doing what we love, and doing it with a deep sense of care about how we create the things that we do. Nothing makes us happier than turning our ideas into reality, and we strive to do so in a way that has a positive impact on the planet and society - even if it is only in our own tiny and humble way.

We are a husband and wife team, we met while studying on the same postgraduate design course in the UK and slowly came up with our own vision, bouncing off each others ideas and dreams.
Jordi is a fashion designer and is passionate about hand-crafted textiles. She is a keen maker and works with traditional craft communities in North East India. Jordi has been actively pursuing her interest in sustainability in the fashion and textiles industry.
Ollie is from an architecture background and has a doctorate exploring slow design. He is an enthusiastic maker and tends to create objects in metal and wood. He is passionately interested in circular and regenerative economies.

We love to design and make things, and we are driven to do so in an ethical and responsible way. We hate to see our planet's precious resources go to waste and end up as land-fill, while the people who produce our goods are often exploited. We don't want to be a part of that problem, but instead try and explore new ways of doing things.
Through our designing and making, we want to follow the values we believe in: using materials that are traceable, from environmentally sustainable and socially responsible, ethical sources; building mutually valuable and respectful relationships with the people and communities who supply us; being inspired globally, and thinking locally; nothing we design should be destined for landfill. We re-use and design for reuse, if it cannot be re-used then it must be recycled and recyclable.

We aim to use materials that are reclaimed, recycled, or produced without harming people and the planet. We are determined to find ethical and traceable sources whenever we can. Our vision is to work directly with crafts people, and in whatever humble way, try to support traditional craft practices.

We say, love what you do, and do it for good.
