Dichrouc glass was invented back in the 50's by NASA to protect the astranoults eyes against UV rays. NASA realised that by placing microscope layers of different minerals and oxides down on glass they could protect the Astronats eyes from harmful UV rays.
Although one of the first pieces of Dichroic glass named The Lycurgus Cup which dates back to the 4th centre AD and held in the British Museum.During the late Roman period when the cup was made, the process used still remains unclear, and it is likely that it was probably discovered by accident.
Being born in the 60's we always had a facination with the space race combined with childhood games in the 70''s like Jenga we have combined our 2 most loved things into one, and so designed our own unique range ...though most people see the hash tag symbol in our jewellery designs.
