Hello and welcome to our Handmade Pieces for your Home. My name is JanieLiz and I work together with Alfie, my husband. So let’s tell you, a little bit more about us and what we do. We are a small family setup, with a petite workshop, nothing too flash about it but inside this understated work-cabin (which we also made ourselves), we create some pretty unique and amazing stuff. Now you are here you’re welcome to come in and take a good look.
You’ll see we’re all about handmade and custom made timber and metal products. All for the home, whether it be a cottage, a semi-detached a bed sit or an opulent abode.... you’ll definitely find something here for you or your family and friends.

Alfie, our main maker is passionate about making things. As a retired construction worker for over 40 years he still has the skill. Unfortunately after he suffered a stroke a little while back he was sadly rendered incapacitated. He couldn’t remember how to used his tools or what they were for and had to re-learn the names of them all. This was difficult after losing his speech and cognitive ability. After a lot of NHS care and encouragement at home we, (being family) guided him and urged him to try and use his tools little by little, day by day and this was the best thing he could have ever persevered with. In a nutshell this is how he recovered. So making all these different things we thought, what do we do with them?! We gave a lot as gifts and then we thought why not make and then sell so here we are.
We love Rustic, cottage and contemporary too. We enhance the quirky flaws and dimples and dents that are the characteristics of old well loved timber. If you can’t find the product you’d ideally like, send us a sketch maybe? We can try to create it for you.
We really care about our planet and love being kind to it by embracing beautiful old discarded materials by rescuing, reviving and nurturing them, then finally creating some amazing useful items and collectibles.

Even our packaging is carefully recycled, and used to its’ optimum. We like to wrap pretty too! We offer a gift wrapping service if you’d like to save yourself the task. Again, using recyclable papers etc.
