I fuse glass in my glass kiln at my home studio to make jewellery pieces and hairclips out of dichroic glass

I live in beautiful Cheshire with my husband, two cats and two house bunnies. I am inspired by nature and go for lots of walks in the local countryside, I find learning about trees, birds and the landscape I live in soothes my soul.

I am lucky enough to now have my own kiln and I love to play with glass! I first discovered dichroic glass around twenty years ago when another glass artist shared its mesmerising qualities with me. I have been particularly drawn to the way dichroic changes depending on it's current circumstances. In bright, happy times it can shine resplendent in ways you have never noticed before, a bit like humans!

In dark times I find wearing a pretty dichroic glass pendant necklace, earrings, hairpin or otherwise can bring some joy and catch my eye when looking into the mirror, bringing a smile to my otherwise resting-sad face! I get a lot of compliments when wearing my own jewellery. I hope my creations bring the wearer a bit more joy into their days too!
