Hi, I’m Chengyu, an artist and tarot reader based in London.

I create original animal illustrations, handmade charms, keyrings, magnets, necklaces and pet collars, all inspired by my love for animals, folklore, quiet magic and the strange little personalities of pets.

Back home in China, I have four cats and one dog, so animals have always been a huge part of my life. I love drawing funny, mysterious and slightly quirky little creatures, the kind of animals that look like they have their own secrets, moods and tiny magical powers.

The idea behind Chengyu Art is simple: Adopt Your Guardian Spirit.

When you choose one of my animal illustrations or handmade pieces, you are not just buying an object. You are adopting a little guardian spirit: a small companion to bring comfort, courage, luck and a touch of everyday wonder.

Each piece begins as my original drawing. Some are framed artworks, while others are carefully turned into handmade.
