Hi! I’m new to Folksy and I’m slowly building my shop.
Here are some things just listed by other crafters and sellers on Folksy.
I started painting 5 years ago, after a lifetime of feeling a pull towards colours, drawings and doodles. Just makes me smile and feel happy! I’ve pushed myself through the scared/no confidence stage and now I can enjoy the magic and quirkiness of watercolours. I don’t try to tame them, I just try to help their colours sing out, shine, separate and swirl! If you chose something in my shop, you can be assured that it’s original and a one-off; I leave pencil lines on the paper so that you can see where I started, and you’ll have the purity of real pigments on the paper. You’ll probably like colour as well, perfect for the gallery wall trend running right now. Everything I produce gets used in some way and my mountain of sketchbooks are my treasure and motivation. I find no better inspiration than my local flora and fauna, faces and landscapes here in Staffordshire. I’m right next door to the Peak District, I’ve got the canals and heritage of Stoke on Trent, and open green spaces all around me. I hope you can find something that you like and I will be happy to personalise things for you if you have an idea. I print, cut the presentation mounts and enjoy assembling my artwork parcels myself, and will often sneak in a little something extra for my buyers. I’ve appeared at local exhibitions, a finalist in 2021 Three Counties exhibition, but my only real ambition is to keep painting for the joy of it and ….hopefully…..finding homes for my work!
