Beautiful, Unique, Lampshades. Handmade in Somerset, UK

Hi there! We are Christina and Chloe.. the C&C  behind C&C Lampshades
We specialise in making handmade fabric Lampshades, based in Somerset, UK. 
So how did C&C Lampshades begin?!? Well... we met several years ago whilst working together in our day (and night!) jobs as nurses within the NHS.
Our mutual love of all things crafty quickly formed a firm friendship both inside and outside of work and we would spend many a day off sewing or visiting our local fabric shops for inspiration. We are both complete 'fabric-a-holics' and would spend far too much time and money developing our ever increasing 'fabric stash'!
We became known as the 'crafty pair' amongst our teasing work colleagues, who found our hobbies slightly comical (until they needed something making or some alterations made!)
Over the years we must have had hundreds of conversations between us about how we could move our interests forwards and start a business which could help to fuel our fabric obsession! But we could never really decide upon an idea... maybe making curtains? cushion covers? clothes? nothing seemed to be quite the right fit for us.
Jump forward to January 2016.... one rare evening off shift, which we spent going to  a lampshade making night class. We learnt to make different styles of lampshades and experimented with different fabrics, we absolutely loved it! 
We posted the lampshades that we made that evening onto our facebook pages (as you do!) and we were overwhelmed with positive comments from both friends and family. People immediately began asking us to make individual lampshades for their homes, which we did.. and the orders kept rolling in..
We purchased some stock and started taking more formalised orders....before we knew it a small business had been formed without us thinking about it!
A business that feels perfect for us, as we get to work with our favourite thing FABRIC! 
We couldn't be happier, spending time browsing the shops and choosing beautiful fabrics to construct into stunning lampshades!

We are now lucky enough to have a small studio in Somerset, where, on our days off from nursing, we can design our range, view our fabrics and most importantly have the space to make and store our lampshades.

Everyone of our lampshades are carefully handmade by ourselves to a high standard. Each item is then individually hand wrapped in cellophane, and packaged with environmentally friendly brown void-fill paper, ready for shipping.

Don't forget that we can also make bespoke items, if you have an idea in mind, but cant see it online, then please talk to us! Send us a message and we will be thrilled to design something especially for you.
