Teddies, dolls, earrings, cards & more made with love

Hi, I'm Mandy, the person behind Bluebell Lane Crafts. I'm delighted that you have dropped by and taken an interest in my shop.

It was my dream as a little girl to run a shop so that I could use a till. I'm now a big girl, I still haven't got the till but I'm delighted to have the shop.

I become interested in crafts at a very young age, I recall sitting with my nan whilst she very patiently taught me to knit scarves for my Sindy dolls. This was soon followed by my mum teaching me how to make dolls clothes on her Singer sewing machine. I was also lucky enough to have a wonderful textiles teacher who further instilled in me a deep love for crafting.

Years on, my day job is spent working in education in a large, busy mainstream secondary school. I'm lucky to have so many passions away from this world, I'm a huge fan of alternative therapies, I'm a qualified massage aromatherapist and I'm currently studying the benefits of reflexology. I also adore yoga and the benefits that brings to both my body and mind. The one love that has remained constant since being that little girl I spoke of though is crafting. Every stitch I make is literally a stitch of love, so much care and attention goes into every single item I produce.

If you are thinking of gifting an item or indeed something for yourself, a unique handmade item is so much better than something mass produced. Also you need to be warned that if you buy an item from a small handcrafted shop, there will be a seller somewhere out there in the world doing a very happy dance around their home. Each sale, no matter how big or how small is so precious, it's a privilege and something that is never taken for granted that out of all the shops out there you've ended up in mine.
