Art has long been a passion of mine. Initially inspired by the rugged looks of more characterful stars of TV & Film, I started with pieces centred around charcoals, pencils, pen & pastels along with an interest in the medium of photographs.
But then a chance encounter - thanks to my long suffering hubby - led me into the wonderful world of glass fusing and I became hooked on the infinite variety & challenges of working with this ancient & fascinating material, creating unique jewellery & small art pieces.
I love that no two pieces are alike, even when I know what I want to achieve, sometimes the glass has other ideas & you never quite know what's going to come out of the kiln!
I work from a small space at home, not far from the banks of the wonderful, ever-changing River Mersey, in a small Conservation Area. No cats but I do have a pet husband and a young daughter, neither of whom are quite house-trained!
And I like tea. Lots of tea. Oh, is that a bourbon too? Don't mind if I do...
