Welcome to my shop, my name is Beatrice Ajayi, I am an artist based in Scotland near Glasgow.

I am excited to share some new collections with you here on folksy. So look out for my new additions for 2024.

Storytelling through expressive paintings, mixed media and illustration.

I am a Scottish -Nigerian artist and writer based in Glasgow, Scotland. My work is inspired by the beauty, stories and quiet details of the world around me. Through painting, mixed media and illustration, I explore themes of nature, memory, identity, hope and the connections we share with the places we call home.

My love of creating began as a child during visits to Nigeria. One of my earliest memories is making a miniature clay cooker with the clay from my garden, complete with turning knobs powered by matchsticks. That curiosity to build, experiment and create has stayed with me ever since.

I work from my home studio, affectionately known as The Lab, where ideas are explored through drawing, painting, collage and creative experimentation. Every piece begins with observation and grows through a process of discovery.

Storytelling sits at the heart of everything I create. Whether I am producing original artwork, writing novels or designing illustrations, my aim is to create work that encourages people to pause, reflect and find their own connection within it.

Alongside my original paintings, I also create prints, greetings cards and illustrated products inspired by the natural world. I welcome commissions and enjoy working with collectors who value meaningful, expressive artwork created with care.

Thank you for visiting my shop. I hope you find something that speaks to you.
