I am a self taught artist, who specialises in painting in acrylics. Most of my work focuses on animals, but as I have a keen interest in the countryside and nature and love to spend as much time outdoors as I can in my native Yorkshire, I also like to paint landscape and floral studies too. I love experimenting with other mediums though, so sometimes if the mood takes me I may decide to use ink, watercolours or even collage.
Originally I began my working life as a professional photographer - third generation, but I now spend most of my working time running my own picture framing business and producing artwork. When I get time off though I like to head off outdoors in search of inspiration for my next painting and I can sometimes be found at local farmers and craft markets, where I like to exhibit my work in person for sale.
