Hi and welcome to my Folksy shop.

My name is Nicola and I'm an artist from the north of Ireland, currently living in the far north of Scotland with three fancy rats, two westies and one husband.

I find inspiration for my paintings from all animals, the wonder of nature and the sometimes surprising beauty of the urban landscape and whatever else tickles my artistic fancy on any given day.

I work predominantly in acrylics – paints, inks and spray paint because they dry quickly and give me the vibrancy that I love.

In my Folksy shop you'll find smaller original paintings as well as prints and greetings cards. I am also happy to take commissions (of any subject but particularly of companion animals) and am always delighted to re-imagine cats, dogs and any other animal in a vibrantly colours contemporary pet portrait.

Buying from me

Hi and welcome to my wee corner of Folksy.

I paint whatever pops into my head onto canvas, paper, pebbles and sea glass and I also sculpt animals from polymer clay which I then bring to life with paint. Nine times out of ten the subject matter will be animal-related but I'm also inspired by nature and Mother Nature's own wonderful colour palette.

Prints, cards and original art will be ready to ship in 2-3 days but please allow 2-3 weeks for any custom artwork.

Returns Policy

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.

I want you to love your purchase as much as I loved creating it. If for whatever reason you aren't delighted with your artwork then you can of course return it within 14 days at your own expense.

Unfortunately I can't accept returns on custom/personalised artwork but I will be working with you at every step of the creative process to confirm you are happy with the piece before I sent it to you so this issue will hopefully never arise anyway!
