Whimsical Original and Prints Watercolour

My name is Kiki, I am a French native living in the UK for over 30 years. I am a whimsical watercolourist based in Kent. During the Covid outbreak I started painting as a hobby but it quickly became a passion.
Growing up I lived in the French Alps with my father and we often went for walks in nature and mushroom picking. I would create enchanted stories of woodland creatures in the magic and beauty of this untamed natural, timeless world.
As a little girl I was fascinated by folklore fables, fairytales and their illustrations.I would read them avidly with a sense of wonder. My work is deeply inspired by these childhood memories and my love for the quiet moments of moonlit nights.
Watercolour painting allowed me to bring to life the secret lives of woodland animals, in particular hares, foxes, birds and forgotten fairytales. My paintings capture the quiet magic of nature, inviting viewers of all ages to step into a storybook world.
