Textile and Fiber Art

I am a classically trained pianist and self-taught artist, merging fine art and textile art practices. I enjoy traditional fiber and textile art and craft techniques. such as crochet, knitting, embroidery, etc. Often my inspiration comes from the beauty of natural forms, especially coral reefs and flowers.

Through my work, I draw a parallel between the intricacy of craft making with the delicate balance of natural ecosystems. I use my visual art to draw attention to the consequences of climate change, to advocate for pressing environmental causes, such as coral bleaching and ocean pollution that are otherwise largely invisible to public view.

Some of my art is environmental message and some art is home décor for people who seek peace, hope, expressions of beauty and inspiration in their homes.
