Handcrafted jewellery made from recycled silver with an organic energy.

Hello and welcome to my Folksy shop.

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Joanne Bennett and I'm a jewellery designer based in Wiltshire, England. I work in recycled sterling silver, using heat and texture to create unusual and quirky jewellery with a rustic and organic finish. I have 3 cats, and a passion for scouring charity shops for bargains.

I've always loved the texture and shapes that can be found in nature which is why I use them to inspire me when I'm designing my jewellery.

I love the way that silver melts and moves creating wonderful patterns which I can never quite predict. Which is why a lot of my work is created by melting pieces of silver together giving my unusual jewellery an organic, rustic and raw feel.

I've been making silver jewellery for many years, selling at craft fairs and to family and friends, but I decided to take the plunge and make jewellery as a full time business.

I love the unpredictability of my process and the way I make my jewellery and the finished piece, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't but the beauty of silver is you can just melt it down and start again.
I try to make each piece different in some way so that customers know they have a piece of jewellery that's different and one of a kind. My aim is to make jewellery that is different from the designs found on the high street, which is why I use various tools, reticulation and oxidisation to give my work texture and to make each piece different from the next. The fact that each piece is individual is what draws customers to my work.
