Welcome to my creative space - my 'happy place' :)
I enjoy so many areas of craft , and have done since quite a young age . I love the endless possibilities of working with paper , rubber stamps and ink . I have had cards featured in US publications from Stampington and I'm proud to have been guest artist in past US publications of Stampers Sampler and Take Ten.
I am just as passionate about fibre though , as I knit , crochet , dye and spin. I have a particular fondness for Alpaca and the bonus of most yarny projects are that they are so portable - I'm rarely seen without hook or needles in hand ! I need that t-shirt that says... " if I can't take my yarn , I'm not going" !!! Four projects on the go at one time is not uncommon :)
I rarely repeat a design , so a buyer can be assured that pretty much everything I make is a unique , OOAK item .
Who was it who said ' creative clutter is better than idle neatness ' - gosh, it must be someone who knows me as I 'm much happier surrounded by 'stuff' , to glean inspiration from . I will even forgive the non-crafter for calling my craft room 'messy' ??!! !
Living in Plympton, Devon , I'm blessed with a craft room that looks out to Dartmoor, so I'll often just sit , with my two kitties and look , and ponder, and plan !! ( which is sometimes the funnest bit !)
