Back in business! After getting disillusioned by lack of sales of my jewellery I took a break and have now come back with a rebranded shop and different offerings, this time selling mostly craft creations which can be personalised and customised to order. Thank you for looking.

Eclectic Crafts & Jewellery by bead addict & mixed media artist Gabi Innocent

I started jewellery making as a hobby in around 2002 and remember losing quite a few tiny beads inbetween the floorboards when I first started making in my lounge at home. Since then life has taken a few unexpected turns and I had to turn my hobby into a business. I branched out renting retail premises in my village building up a loyal customer base of mostly regular holiday makers. Sadly, through no fault of my own I was forced to move my shop to another village after 9 years losing my customer base in the process. Having spent three years building my trade back up I was once again forced to move, eventually finding derelict premises only a mile away from my home. I spent around five months turning my new unit into a beautiful retail space with large separate workshop/studio upstairs and now have the space for making I have always dreamt of. A spacious room with large table dedicated to making & crafting with lots of shelving to display my beads in glass jars like sweeties and easily see at a glance what materials I have, which makes it far easier to design my jewellery and work on my arts and crafts projects. With the jewellery market now so saturated it has become a struggle to sell I have recently turned my attention more towards arts & crafts, making an eclectic range of beautiful one-off and bespoke pieces. Outside there is a lovely courtyard and during fine weather I sit outside with my fur baby Chihuahua by my side and make. My little Chi accompanies me to work every day and models my dog jewellery as and when I make it. My inspiration comes from many sources, my beautiful surroundings by the sea, the beads themselves - my passion is artist crafted lampwork beads, a picture of something I have seen, something somebody is wearing.... there are so many things to inspire a creative mind. When I am not jewellery making I create mixed media cards, wall art, mosaics, decorate shells and pebbles and dabble in many other crafting techniques. I hope you enjoy browsing through my creative output and that you will want to own a piece I have lovingly designed and made. Pretty much all my work is one of a kind, often I cannot recreate something because of the materials I have used, for example artist crafted lampwork beads, and I generally don't like making the same over and over again. I think it's nice to own something that you know nobody else will. For an even more unique personal piece why not commission a piece, it's no more expensive than buying a piece I have made already.
