Profile
I work, whenever the fancy takes me, from my cosy little woodshop in a hamlet almost perched upon the cliff-top on the East Yorkshire coast. My only formal craft education was my GCE (no ‘S’ in my day!) in woodwork. My working career was a million (approx.) miles away from this.
My woodworking output has been extremely varied, ranging from a bedroom suite in sycamore; an ‘unfitted’ kitchen in pine, oak and teak, including a 7 foot oak Welsh dresser; boxes and chests by the score; a rocking motor cycle (can’t even draw a horse, never mind carve one!); one or two replicas of Roman woodworking tools, and now jewellery.
Up until now, I have made things purely for family and as gifts. Owning this little shop and selling is quite a change. I have so many ideas buzzing around, so keep popping in the shop. You never know what might be new on the shelves!
