I've always enjoyed knots! As a kid if you gave me a load of knotted and tangled wool,string or rope I would be kept amused for hours (yes, I know, I'm easily pleased)!

I enjoyed being a Girl Guide because I learnt how to tie knots for practical things and for making "Camp Gadgets". Now after a gap of around 30 years or so I'm making stuff with knots again which are not only good to look at but are pretty practical as well (see the descriptions in my shop).

I came across this craft by accident! As well as working full-time as a legal secretary I am also building up a home business called Avocet Business Solutions where I take on freelance work as a secretary or Internet researcher. On one such assignment I had to compare what the user typed into Google to what image came up and did they match? The user typed in "Survival Bracelet" and not knowing what one of those was I did some research, found an image and some information about and thought - I can make that!!

I went to eBay found a kit and got hooked! The rest, as they say, was history! YouTube do great tutorials and I also like to adapt the patterns a little to make them my own style! There are always new designs coming out to keep watching my shop!
