Having always had dogs, I know how important it is to enable us to be able to keep those paws downstairs at times! Over the years, I have always used baby gates as a way of refraining them, but I have found that they can take the paint & wallpaper off the walls, they can become loose and the bottom bar can also be a trip hazard on the stairs.
