Full description
This is my owl embossed door decoration.
The underglazing on the owl's breast has faded in the firing process which is why I have included this piece in my 'seconds' collection.
This handcrafted ceramic door decor has been created using the slab-work method and embossed with a cute owl design.. Once dried it has been bisque fired to 1000C, after a gentle sanding it has been hand-painted with a dark brown underglaze before a clear glaze is added. After glazing it has had a second firing in the kiln to 1160C.
Black leather cord has been attached.
Size: 6 cm diameter x 0.8 cm depth (approx)
All my ceramic creations have been individually handcrafted by me with love and care. No two pieces are the same as each one has its own unique characteristics.
Self-adhesive cork has been applied to the back of the disc to protect surfaces.
