Full description
A cherry tree festooned with pink blosssom features on this pretty bookmark. An easy-to-post gift for a book-loving friend.
Scraps of green, lilac and white felt have been appliqued to a background of sky blue felt to produce a spring 'patchwork' landscape. A cherry tree has been emboidered, its blossoms created by couching over swirls of a fancy yarn, enhanced with very many French knots in two shades of pink - one of them a lustrous vintage thread.
The bookmark has been completed by the addition of green satin ribbon tails. The back of the bookmark has been neatened by a additional panel of felt. The edge of the bookmark has been finished by blanket stitching in cotton threads, using colours corresponding to each area of the design.
Length of embroidered panel - 14 cm approx.
Total length - 19 cm approx.
First Class postage is included free of charge.
