You could see the circle from quite some distance away. Its outer ring of stones stood like a captive audience with the beams of light from the full moon highlighting each of their heads. The central stone shone like a beacon. Drawing nearer, it was hard not to feel it's ancient presence and the air became thick with energy from those who had walked this path before. There were three rings of stones in all, steady growing in size as they neared the heavily patterned central monolith. Some had been reclaimed over the years by moss and lichen an the like, but they still played their role in tonight's moonlit dance, humming away with an earthly resonance.
