Two years ago I was walking in the countryside when I saw a field carpeted in wild flowers. When I returned home I wanted to recapture that delightful scene. I started out with a large piece of white cotton material and some fabric paints. I then started adding embroidery stitches, beads and sequins. I put the piece away and forgot about it. Until recently I came across it and it just seemed to shout birthday card.

Full description
A Country Chic, birthday card. This lovely handmade card has been designed to say Happy Birthday Mum with is mounted at the bottom of the card. The Birthday tag is black lettering on cream which is then backed onto light purple card. The Purple is then mirrored in the main design of the card with two lines of dark purple ribbon running horizontally cross the card.
The card features a hand embroidered and hand painted flower scene. The flowers are a mix of Satin Stitch, Lazy Daisy Chains and little French Knots. I have also sewn on sequins, beads and blue felt. This design has been hand sewn onto a piece of white cotton material which I had previously painted with fabric paints to in blue, red, orange and muted purple spots.
The entire design has them been mounted onto good quality Green card and the inside has been left blank.
Approximate size 5inches (15cm) long by 4inches (10.4cm) wide.
The card comes supplied with a plain white envelope and is sealed in a clear cellophane bag.
