Full description
I found this great piece of 100% cotton - 'Menu' by Prestigious Textiles - in a fabric store in Liverpool and couldn't resist it. I thought it would be ideal for an apron (what else!).
I've teamed it up with another medium weight cotton in black which I've used to provide an edge to the top and bottom of the apron. I've also used it to make the tie straps and the neck straps. The neck straps have a pair of metal D-loops which makes them adjustable to suit your required size.
I have lined the back of the apron using a lovely charcoal grey polycotton. I have deliberately not put a pocket on the front of the apron as I didn't want to obscure any of the lovely print (I never use the pocket of an apron myself anyway!).
The measurements of the apron are as follows:-
Length 30.5" (78 cm)
Width at waist 26.5" (67 cm)
Neck Straps(2) 17" (43 cm) and 11" (28 cm)
Tie Straps(2) 25.5" (64.5 cm)
All of the fabric has been pre-washed at 30 degrees and allowed to dry naturally to allow for shrinkage.
