Cut from recycled vintage table linen and framed with carefully selected yarns, this pretty brooch would make a lovely gift.
I have a growing collection of vintage linens. Some items are too good to re-purpose and we are continuing to cherish them in our home. Other pieces have been much loved and laundered and are a little too tired. Undamaged portions of embroidery are still worthy of a little love and these I re-use. The design has been framed with carefully chosen yarns which set the embroidery off beautifully. The price reflects my time in sourcing and laundering the linens and in finishing the item, but is intentionally modest to enable the embroidery to be re-loved.
The back of the brooch is neatened with a layer of felt. A brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
