Full description
I love using glass and solder and have made many glass decorations for Christmas, but wanted to see what I could make on a larger scale.
So I came up with this idea.
I had some mini wooden easels stands and some pieces of glass(approx 10x10cm), so I thought, great, I can make pictures and display them on the easel. Then I had another idea, I can make them double sided instead of leaving the back blank.
These 2 pieces of glass have images sandwiched between them, I have then soldered around the glass using copper tape and lead free silver solder.
On one side is an image Ive made with a flurry of beautiful butterflies on a backdrop of an old french postcard. Flip the decoration over and you have a montage of popular Christmas phrases, making this item an ideal decoration for all year round.
