Full description
I have created this superb necklace using one of my favourite Gemstones - Dendritic Opal. I love this stone, as each cut gemstone is unique, with its own tree-like patterns.
The opals in this necklace have been cut into barel shapes and range from being semi opaque to translucent. The ground colour of each stone is a soft pale grey with some having browns as well. Each has its own patterns of deep grey to black dendrites.
To pick up the colour of the dendrites, I have interspaced the opals with matte gunmetal grey haematite stones that have been cut into discs.
The stones have been strung and hand knotted for strength when worn. Due to the shape of the gemstones, the necklace retains some shape and sits quite roundly on the neckline.
The necklace is finished with a strong sterling silver magnetic clasp, stamped 925 for sterling silver.
The necklace measures 48cm or 19inches in length approx.
It would look great with a casual outfit or would make a statement with a suit for work.
