Item details

A twist on my popular lavender bird decorations - this one is completely hand stitched - made with recycled grey wool fabric with lovely pink and lilac coloured needlefelted wings in pure merino wool.

A small antiqued metal hoop is attached to the top of the bird so you can hang it with the ribbon provided or maybe clip to a keyring or bag charm to accompany you wherever you go.

The bird measures approx 10cm from beak to tail and is lightly stuffed with toy filling and a generous scoop of homegrown dried lavender.

Not a fan of lavender? Not a problem - give me a shout and I will be happy to make one without lavender. Please note however - due to the techniques used it may not look exactly like the one pictured. Every one is unique!

I love to take old, unloved pieces of clothing and turn them into something completely different! This lovely grey 100% wool fabric was once a skirt I found languishing in my local hospice charity shop.

My Lavender birds are without doubt the most popular design I have made over the years and I really enjoyed tweaking the design to use my newly acquired skill of needle felting!
