Full description
This beautiful cover, for a journal or notebook, has been handmade from mauve or lilac silk dupion. It has been embellished with a vintage lace heart, outlined with a selection of small vintage pearl buttons. More lace has been used to trim the top and bottom edges of the cover and along the spine. The back has been decorated with the same lace used for the heart.
The cover is softly padded and fully lined with silk dupion. A length of narrow satin ribbon has been attached to form a bookmark.
The cover comes complete with an A6 sketchbook from Seawhite of Brighton. These books are made in Britain using British paper and have 92 pages of acid-free cartridge paper. A lined notebook can be supplied instead if preferred. The book can easily be replaced with a new one when needed, or perhaps with a diary or address book.
It would make a perfect gift, perhaps for Mother's Day, for a bride-to-be, a bridesmaid or special friend. This beautiful cover is a one-of-a-kind piece, totally unique.
The cover measures approx 12 cm x 17 cm closed.
