Full description

Pyrite Ammonite Fossil Keyring or handbag charm with Silvertone findings.

This fossil Ammonite has over a period of millions of years become Pyrite, so a metal like structure, which makes this little fossil very tough and strong and unusually weighty for its size and is very dark grey, almost black in colour, with great definition.

This lovely little Pyrite Fossil Ammonite was located with a natural large round perforation in the centre, making it ideal for mounting onto the silvertone triangle bail and has been teamed up with silvertone curb style keychain and silvertone 2.5cm diameter split ring, to make the item useable as a Keyring or handbag charm.

Lyme Regis, in Dorset, where this fossil was located, is known as the Jurassic coast and is wonderfully rich and abundant in these wonderful Ammonite fossils.

Approximate measurements: The whole keyring, including the ammonite, chain and 2.5cm diameter split ring measures approx 6.8cms in length. The little ammonite is approx 2.5cms by 2cms by 7mms at its widest point.

As this is a natural pyrite fossil, it is robust but not unbreakable.
