I have a great love of animals and so this was an easy choice. I love the tactile quality of needle felted animals. I live in a very remote area in the far north of Scotland where the landscape predominates. We don't have a great deal of resident wildlife but we see lots of migratory birds, sea mammals etc. Oigs are a particular favourite.

Full description
This is a needle felted pig called Wilfred. My main aim when sculpting these felt figures is to get some character in them. If the eyes are right the personality is there. My favourite subjects are animals but I have also made clowns and VW camper vans! This piece is 15 cm high (6") to top of the head and 9.5 cm (3.5") nose to bum. The body is built up around a hollowfibre core.
