Butterfly themes and designs seem to be popular at the moment and I love the bright bold colours of the butterfly. I also wanted to try making a box out of textiles and hence the butterfly keepsake box was born!

Full description
This striking box has a bold butterfly pattern in black, beige and sky blue and is finished of with a contrasting spotted ribbon. The inner sides of the box are hand embroidered using sky blue cotton yarn. The top of the box has a hand embroidered cream cotton yarn background.
I have lined the box with a lovely Cath Kidson 100% cotton print called provence.
The box is 7 cms deep and 11 cms square.
