This altered matchbox has been re-covered with a vintage illustration by Kay Nielsen to advertise the best known brand of fire-lighters in the Enchanted Realms:
Light of my Life - Matches Made in Heaven
The surface is now protected with a matte laminate covering for extra durability & a professional finish. Tucked inside the matchbox you will find, nestled in black tissue paper:
- a tiny Enchanted Times 'cover story' card, reporting on the tragic tale of the valiant one-legged soldier who was re-united with his dancing paper sweetheart only to be devoured by flames in a tragic accident on the very night of his return. (Printed on recycled card, measures approx. 5.25 x 3.7cm.)
- 2 bottle cap fridge magnets to keep your love notes firmly in place. One features the Steadfast Tin Soldier himself and the other his beloved flighty ballerina. Each magnet measures approx. 3.3cm diameter.
Matchbox measures approx. 4.5cm x 8cm (approx. 1cm depth) and does not contain any matches. Box may be un-re-purposed for practical use if you wish to re-fill it but is intended for decoration only.
