Originally Marshmallow was developed as a medical substance, namely to cure sore throats. It was typically made using the root of the marshmallow plant and was very popular with the Egyptians. Centuries later the French added egg whites and rose water to he mix, choosing to discard the marshmallow root to create a rather unique piece of confectionary.
The 'Mallow Twist' collection is named after the popular twisted marshmallows sold all around the world today.
