Autumnal Fungi! Crocheted and embroidered mushroom which has been stuffed so that it stand proud but is still pliable for insertion of pins and a Felt base pad, which is also adorned with autumnal filament yarn to form the mossy conditions within which fungi can often be found growing. Both the felt base and the mushroom itself can be uses as the pin cushion.
All together forming a very Autumnal Themed Pin Cushion or Ornament.
Just ready for display or to add your choice of pins.
The mushroom has been hand crocheted in 100% acrylic yarn and softly padded with 100% pure cotton wool fibre, so it is soft and pliable and can be re-plumped as necessary if the cotton wool stuffing needs reshaping with use.
Beneath the skirt of the mushroom cap, fronds have been embroidered in deep brown acrylic yarn.
The padded felt base cushion, again stuffed with 100% pure cotton wool, is rectangular in shape to form a secure base and has been adorned with loops of filament polyester yarn in bright mossy tones.
The base of the crocheted mushroom stem has been inserted into the centre of the pad and then sewn into place, but as it is a pliable item, it will move about on its stem.
The base of the pad is not perfectly rectangular and measures approx 10cms by 7cms. The total height of the Autumnal pin cushion or ornament is approx 12cms.
This item is entirely my own design and created by myself.
