The pieces in this shop are all end of lines or developmental pieces for other larger pieces. They are only available here.

I have a passion for rocks and fossils and spend hours walking along the beach, sketching and photographing interesting rocks. Sometimes I am lucky enough to find a fossil, although most of my collection I have bought. I find the patterns and designs in rocks and fossils endlessly fascinating. With fossils, the idea that this was a living creature millions of years ago is inspiring and wonderful. I have sought to create this wall art clock for you to bring a little of this to your home.

Full description

A beautiful and unique wall clock featuring a hand enamelled ammonite with a quartz battery movement. Approx 15 cm in diameter.

Enamelling is the art of fusing glass to metal. the design is painstakingly built up in a succession of firings at temperatures of around 900 degrees centigrade. Typically each piece will have anything from 6 - 12 firings although complicated pieces can have as many as 20. Colours and effects can be varied by altering the temperature of the kiln and length of firing meaning that each piece is unique.

Designed by Linda Connelly in South croydon
