These lovely bowls were made in my studio in Devon, and are part of my 'Hearty Range'.

They are made using clay cut-outs of hearts of 2 sizes, these are then laid in a plaster mould. I then smooth the inside of each bowl using more clay, to create this unique and lovely looking design. The bowls were then fired to 980C.

The main glaze is a stoneware glaze called 'marcasite', I covered each bowl in this glaze and then 'washed back' the outside, leaving the natural white-ish colour of the clay showing. Finally I glazed various hearts in red, blue, green and yellow. The bowls were then fired again, this time to 1220C.

All my ceramics are micro-wave, dishwasher and oven proof.
Size- they are approx.7cm tall, and top of the bowl is 13.5cm across.

This shop item is for a set of 4 bowls, one in each of green, yellow, blue and red. I sell these bowls individually in my shop also. Just in case you would like to have just one or two to sit on your dressing table for jewellery, or on bedside table for loose change. There are many more items in the 'Hearty Range'.
