I love to experiment with polymer clay techniques. Mokume Gane is an interesting technqique based on decorative designs for samurai swords in 17th century Japan. It produces unique patterns that can never be repeated, so you can be assured of a truly one of a kind item.

Full description
A swirly purple and black heart, made from polymer clay. A lovely gift for Valentine’s Day, or simply for yourself to brighten up your bag.
I have used a technique called Mokume Gane to create unique patterns in the clay. The main colour is purple, with black and then some blue/grey and copper metallic specks. The back is mainly mauve.
The large heart measures approximately 6.4cm/2.5” at its widest point and the smaller heart 2.2cm/just under 1”. There is also a small purple bead and a tiny silver bead attached to the smaller heart.
The hearts have been hand sanded after baking to produce a beautiful smooth finish. They are securely attached to a silver plated keyring.
The bag charm comes in an attractive organza bag and is carefully packaged, before being posted 1st class (via airmail if outside the UK). I try to reuse envelopes whenever possible.
PLEASE NOTE that polymer clay is not a toy and I do not recommend this item for young children due to small parts. Although polymer clay is perfectly suitable for its intended use, it is not indestructible!
